Under the direction of the Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Relations, the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is responsible for leading the College’s strategy to increase funding from private foundations, government agencies, and corporate partners. The Director focuses on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding external relationships to support student success and advance the College’s strategic priorities. This position supervises the Director of Grants, who oversees grant development, submission, and compliance. The Director also manages the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program and works collaboratively with academic and administrative leaders to build a culture of grant readiness and philanthropic engagement across the institution.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
Strategic Fundraising & Relationship Development
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate and foundation partners to secure support for College programs, scholarships, workforce initiatives, and institutional priorities.
  • Lead the development of tailored proposals and stewardship materials for high-impact institutional funding opportunities.
  • Represent the College in meetings and presentations to external funders, aligning engagement strategies with organizational goals.
 
 
Grants Strategy & Supervision
  • Supervise the Director of Grants, ensuring successful identification, application, execution, and compliance for public and private grant opportunities.
  • Oversee the College’s grant development pipeline, aligning submissions with the strategic direction and academic priorities of the institution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required reports and documentation in collaboration with the Business Office and other administrative areas.
 
 
Stakeholder Engagement & Education
  • Develop and deliver educational workshops and training sessions for faculty, department chairs, and college leadership on grant development, proposal writing, funder expectations, and internal procedures.
    • Provide individual and group consultation to stakeholders to support the development of fundable ideas and successful proposals.
  • Promote awareness of grant opportunities and cultivate a campus culture of proactive external funding pursuit.
 
 
Cross-College Collaboration
  • Partner with academic deans, faculty, and administrative leaders to align funding opportunities with College priorities and student success outcomes.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal departments and external funders to support innovative programming and workforce partnerships.
 

EITC Program Management
  • Lead the administration of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, including proposal development, donor cultivation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with EITC-eligible corporate donors to maximize support for student scholarships and academic programming.
 
 
Data & Systems Management
  • Maintain accurate records of funding prospects, submissions, and stewardship activities in DonorPerfect or a comparable CRM system.
  • Track progress toward annual fundraising and grant acquisition goals and generate reports for leadership as needed.
 
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in nonprofit management, public administration, education, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in securing corporate and foundation funding and managing complex funded relationships.
  • Experience supervising teams, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit context.
  • Strong understanding of public and private grant development and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with DonorPerfect or similar CRM/fundraising database.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience designing and facilitating educational programs or training sessions.
 
Salary Range $98,000 - $105,00 (commensurate with experience)
