Job Summary

The HR Coordinator will perform duties at the professional level in all of the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration and management, on-boarding, and employee relations. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of multi-tasking and relating to individuals at all levels within the organization

  • Hours are Monday - Friday, from 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm. In addition to being flexible to cover a 3-shift operation.
  • Salary Range - $50,000-$53,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all employee and applicant documentation and employee records
    • Ensure compliance with I-9 employment eligibility verification and periodically audits Forms I-9.
    • Maintain employee personnel files and proper record keeping
    • Assist with policy development and documentation
  • Maintain current health benefits program
    • Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans.
    • Review benefits with employees and processes and assist with enrollments.
    • Organize and assist with annual open enrollment communications and election process.
  • Report, maintain, and monitor time and attendance for employees
    • Monitor, adjust and submit weekly payroll for all employees
    • Process payroll reports for agencies

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Minimum Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Preferred: HR Certification or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience
    • Minimum Required: 2+ years’ HR experience
    • Preferred: HRIS experience
  • Automotive manufacturing experience or related field
  • Basic knowledge of all HR disciplines including performance management, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, talent management, compensation, Health and Safety, etc.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail
  • Preferred: Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.

Working Conditions

The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:

  • Mostly office environment
  • Limited exposure to vehicles, robotics, production equipment
  • Minimal exposure to outdoor elements
